De VPL-VW95ES en VPL-HW30 biedt filmfans de gelegenheid te genieten van een ongeëvenaarde 3D-bioscoopervaring in de eigen thuisomgeving. Gebaseerd op de actieve brilglazentechnologie die gebruikt wordt in de 3D TV-serie van Sony, zijn beide projectoren ontworpen om een optimale 3D-ervaring te produceren die als heel natuurlijk wordt ervaren.
Om de uitstekende beeldkwaliteit te realiseren die vereist is in een home cinema omgeving, inclusief de werkelijke kleurdiepte en helderheid, is de VW95ES uitgerust met Sony´s Advanced Iris 3 technologie. Dit geeft een dynamische contrastverhouding van 150.000:1.
Om de mogelijkheid te bieden om 3D in Full HD 1080p te projecteren, is de VPL-VW95ES en de VPL-HW30 uitgerust met een speciaal 3D SXRD 240Hz paneel die crosstalk minimaliseert. De projector is ook in staat om 2D-video te verwerken en 3D-beelden te simuleren, om oude klassieke films nieuw leven in te blazen en de filmfan te laten genieten van een breed aanbod aan videocontent.
